Read how we are staying connected during this Christmas season with our community with a Candy Cane Christmas giving tree. We decorated a small tree in our front year with candy canes and offered them to our neighborhood. Instantly we received such positive feedback I wanted to share this idea with you.

I originally got this idea from a neighbor in our last neighborhood. So with Covid and not being able to do Christmas parties I remembered this idea. It is kind of the best idea with Covid or not because it’s inexpensive and doesn’t take a lot of time to out it together. And the best part is it brings the community together and adds to the holiday season.

Instructions to Make the Candy Cane Tree
- Wrap red and white ribbon around the base of the tree by tying the ends at the bottom. You can secure the ribbon with a rock or stake.
- Secure the tops of the ribbon after wrapping by either tying the ends to the tree with a secure knot to withstand the weather.
- Hang candy canes from the branches. Try to keep the candy canes low and easy to grab.
- Print off the free printable sign here on the blog. You can hang the sign in a plastic frame, sheet protector with tape on the top. Another alternative is you can print it larger as an engineer print and have it laminated.
- Hang some ornaments and share this on a neighborhood page if optional.
