Glamping? Camping with glam? What? Yeah, if you’re unsure what glamping is, you’re not alone. We weren’t sure either what to expect or what it meant until we did it. That’s right, we went glamping. And here’s what it was like for us and you can expect.
First of all, glamping resorts are all over the nation. For our experience, we went to Conestoga Ranch based in Garden City, Utah. The property is minutes away from downtown which is the home of the famous Raspberry Shake that we can say is amazing!! And also right around the corner from the Glamping Resort is Bear Lake. Bear Lake is beautiful and there are tons of places to rent jet skis or a boat. We brought our kayaks along the way. By the way, the resort is open for all of the summer, and going into September is a fantastic time to go as the tourist season has relaxed and the weather just a little cooler.
What is Glamping
Glamping is a form of camping where you get the fun of camping with some glam. Such as where we went had tents. But the high-quality canvas tents are already waiting for you with a full luxurious bed, dresser, chairs, tables, and heater.
The resort had extra amenities as well such as a restaurant, bikes to ride, game tent, playground, hammocks, and a spa. So you don’t need to bring your own equipment or entertainment. There was also a yoga class and other fun activities as part of the resort property. On top of all of this, the resort provided a golf car to ride to your tent and fire starting service. They also provided smores kits as part of the stay.
So glamping takes all the work out of camping and leaves you this the experience! Have you gone glamping? If so where did you go? Did you like it? I’d definitely try it again. But for now, I’m back at home. Here are some more photos of our stay and the Conestoga Ranch grounds. so you can get a feel for what glamping really is. Have a great week!
