Arms of a Mother

Sometimes as mothers we carry our children. Sometimes our arms are full too much to bear. Sometimes we wrap our arms around those little people and calm them like no one else can do. I created this imagery of a mother’s arms wrapped around her babies. In whatever way that looks like in reality, it seemed an appropriate visual. On the mothers’ arms are the sun and moon symbolizing both the cycle we as women follow and phases. They also symbolize the constant care, day and night, we care for our littles. On the childrens clothes are symbols of plants showing how we nurture and grow our children through our influence. Even her earrings are a water drop. Around the whole image is greenery connecting the message of growth and nurture.
