It can be daunting to read through the headlines of our day. We live in the Latter-days when the work is hastening but with the hastening comes great sorrow and turmoil. This last couple weeks with the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and Irma my heart has been lifted reading about all the love that has spread throughout the communities regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, or age. My heart has been lifted looking at photos of people helping each other, people who come from different backgrounds, people making human chains to rescue others, volunteers working hours apon hours to save others. If all mankind understood this, there would never be anyone with whom we would not be concerned, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or social or economic standing.
